About Us
MonkeyWashingCat.com is a for-profit venture of JMI. We'd like to use this site to get rich and build a powerful lifestyle brand that we can monetize in multiple verticals. Coming soon: MonkeyWashingCat perfume.
Jason Morrow, Visionary
Jason Morrow is an award-winning filmmaker and technologist who is widely credited with being the first person to realize a direct connection between computers and the World Wide Web. "I just couldn't see one without the other," he later told a friend. " I instinctively knew that the Internet would be dependent upon computers." Morrow later coined the terms "webelation" to refer to the feeling one gets when cashing a huge VC check and "IPO-No-No" to refer to competitors projects.
A serial web developer, Jason's first homerun was the mega viral lost pet site, doggone.com that he eventually sold to NewsCorp for $780 million. He followed that success with the largely misunderstood book, www.dot.dot.dash.dot.dash. - a failed attempt to explain why morse code might someday replace HTML. He's also well known as the inventor of the "Tandem Terminal," a unique computer that has two mouses, allowing two people to work at the same time.
When he's not working on "the next big thing" he enjoys collecting reptiles and 19th century spons and, of course, spending quality time with his beloved Bonzo.
